Job summary
Shriners Children’s Ohio is seeking a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the night shift to support our pediatric patients in Dayton, OH.
In collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, you will provide preventive, acute, specialized and primary care services, coordinate care, and educate families to improve outcomes for children.
This role requires an MS/DON in nursing, OH CNP license, and relevant certifications, with telemedicine eligibility and DEA credentials valued.
Qualifications
- Master of Science or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Active OH Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license with eligibility for telemedicine.
- Active OH RN license with eligibility for telemedicine.
- Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) certification from the PNCB.
- BLS certification. PALS certification within 3 months of hire.
- DEA certification.
Responsibilities
- Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of identified health needs.
- Ordering and interpretation of diagnostic and/or laboratory tests.
- Formulating, documenting, and monitoring treatment plans.
- Routine wound or post-operative dressing management.
- Ordering interdisciplinary consults.
- Ordering pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies and/or interventions.
