Job summary

Shriners Children’s Ohio is offering a full-time night-shift Acute Care Nurse Practitioner position focused on pediatric care. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care for children, with telemedicine eligibility considerations for licensure as needed.

A strong nursing and pediatric practice background is essential for this team-based setting. Required credentials include an MSN or Doctorate in Nursing, OH CNP and RN licenses, ACNP certification, BLS and PALS

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Doctorate in Nursing is required.
• OH CNP license with eligibility for telemedicine.
• OH RN license with eligibility for telemedicine.
• ACNP certification from PNCB (CPNP-AC).
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification within 3 months of hire.
• DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of identified health needs.
• Ordering and interpretation of diagnostic and/or laboratory tests.
• Formulating, documenting, and monitoring treatment plans.
• Routine wound or post-operative dressing management.
• Ordering interdisciplinary consults.
• Ordering pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies and/or interventions.
