Job summary

Achieve Beyond is hiring part-time paraprofessionals to support pediatric ABA therapy across Long Island. We offer a competitive starting hourly rate and opportunities to grow within a collaborative, supportive team.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with special needs children or are enrolled in relevant psychology/healthcare programs. Training and career development are provided, with emphasis on ethical, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience with special needs children ages 2-21 in supervised setting.
• Enrollment in undergraduate/graduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Completion of 30-hour classroom/online/clinical observation training provided by Achieve Beyond and competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the BCBA.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case.
• Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs and resources for home and community use.
• Collect daily data and organize the child's program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families per state and federal regulations.
