Job summary

North Shore Pediatric Therapy in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Behavior Therapist for clinic-based, pediatric ABA. You’ll work 1:1 with children ages 2–12, helping them build communication, independence, and confidence, with a supportive team and ongoing mentorship.

You’ll start with paid RBT training in your first month and receive raises with certification. The role offers daytime shifts and Saturday availability, with a clear growth path toward RBT and BCBA credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in roles like babysitting, coaching, camps, classrooms.
• Must be calm, flexible and eager to learn.
• Must support kids with respect and empathy, not compliance.
• Interest in long-term careers in ABA, education, child psychology, OT, SLP, or mental health.

Responsibilities

• Spend 1:1 time with children aged 2–12 to build communication, independence, and confidence.
• Play games to develop language and social skills.
• Hold and model strategies to help with asking for help, shoe-tying, and task transitions.
• Track progress and take session notes for BCBA updates to therapy plans.
• Communicate with the team to problem-solve, celebrate wins, and adjust support.
• Be active and flexible; no desk job.
