GENERAL SUMMARY

The Pechanga Café Cashier is responsible for correctly handling cash, credit, and comp procedures. Must properly complete paperwork and provide the best guest service. This role includes both cashier and host/hostess responsibilities.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform assigned cashier duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Count and verify all cash exchanges with outlet servers and guests.
• Process guest charges including credit cards, room charges, comps, discounts, and cash payments.
• Reconcile and complete all required daily reports.
• Make change or exchanges for internal guests (Team Members).
• Assist in the preparation of daily bank deposits.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

Education/Experience/Training: High school education or equivalent and at least one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate.
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Tips Certification.

• Must be available to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and graveyard shifts.
• Requires mobility, bending and reaching from floor to 6 ft. high; transporting cash banks weighing up to 23 lbs.; normal vision and hearing; hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity including writing; ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
• Work performed in an area that may be hot, cold, noisy and smoky; small space (2 half ft. access) and at height of 4 ft.; constant contact with staff and guests; make eye contact while speaking.
