Job summary

LVI Associates in New York, NY is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to join our growing team. You will work on varied building projects, perform analysis, develop calculations and construction documents, and contribute to site visits and client interactions.

The ideal candidate has a NY PE license, 5+ years of experience in consulting or design, proficiency with structural analysis software and BIM tools, and strong communication skills to mentor junior staff and coordinate with

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York.
5+ years of structural engineering experience in consulting or design.
Strong background in structural calculations, analysis, and construction documentation.
Experience with structural analysis software and BIM tools (Revit preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for various building and support structures.
Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
Prepare construction drawings, details, specifications, and related deliverables.
Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries; support construction-phase services.
Conduct site visits and observe construction progress.
Evaluate existing structures for rehabilitation or retrofit solutions.
Coordinate with other design disciplines and stakeholders.
