PDS Tech Commercial in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Structural Engineer 3 with an active PE license to support tooling and aerospace production.

The role covers structural analysis, FEMAP/NASTRAN, NX/CATIA modeling, and fabrication support, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

On-site, full-time with 4-month contract and pay at $80.38 per hour; 9/80 schedule, competitive benefits, and opportunities to influence safety and performance of tooling and structures.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) License (CA preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• Experience solving structural engineering problems with hand calculations and FEA.
• Experience with structural stress analysis techniques and with FEMAP/NASTRAN or similar tools.
• Proficiency in CATIA/NX and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic structural analysis of tooling fixtures and structures.
• Complete engineering analysis using hand calculations and FEMAP/NASTRAN.
• Prepare structural analysis reports and review reports by others.
• Develop designs using NX/CATIA; create fabrication drawings per ASME Y14.5.
• Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing teams to mitigate safety risks.
