RWJBarnabas Health’s Monmouth Medical Center - Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a PD RN for the Emergency Department on evenings. The ED RN cares for patients of all ages requiring emergency care.

Ideal candidates hold an active New Jersey RN license with BLS, ACLS and PALS, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and at least one year of ED experience; familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred. This Per Diem role includes evening shifts and potential weekend/holiday considerations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred. At least one year current ED patient care experience is required and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a minimum schedule of one weekend per 4 week schedule plus 2 Holidays/year-1 Winter, 1 Summer, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
