Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN per diem for Jersey City Medical Center in the Emergency Department. The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS, and prior emergency nursing experience. EPIC EMR proficiency is expected.

Evening shifts are available, with competitive hourly pay in New Jersey. The RN will perform assessments, administer care, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Prior patient care experience in emergency nursing required.
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely decisions.

• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Scheduling Requirements:

• Evening Shift, 12p-12aper diem
• 2 shifts per month with 1 shift being weekends, 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
