Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Sebring, Florida. The PCU RN will provide bedside care and monitor cardiac patients in a 12-hour night shift setting, working 36 hours per week during a 13-week assignment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, with required BLS and NIH certifications. Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment, and pay details are based on shifts and site

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; NIH certification may be required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor patient status and interpret telemetry and vital signs; respond to changes.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data and clinical assessment.
