Job summary

TotalMed RN in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Progressive Care Unit travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment. The PCU RN will work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced setting while caring for cardiac patients.

Certification requirements include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; 1–2 years of acute care experience is preferred. The role includes bedside care, IV starts, dressing changes, and medication administration.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
