Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a PCU travel nurse in Lima, Ohio for a 13-week contract. This 12-hour night shift position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications. The PCU nurse will monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and manage IVs and equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Travel RN assignments include tax-free stipends and weekly pay. This role offers exposure to a diverse patient population in a high-acuity unit with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• 2 years* experience noted; additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
• Stand, walk, bend and lift as needed during shift.
• Maintain ability to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Manage stress and interact with patients of varied ages and backgrounds.
