First Choice Nurses in Virginia is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads. You will select shifts that fit your life, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a options, with the freedom to work when it works for you.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring patient conditions in acute-care hospital settings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
