Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a with pay ranging from $56.25 to $57.25 per hour.

You choose your schedule, with options for daily or weekly pay and the ability to work as little as one shift per month. Requires active Virginia RN license, 2 years of recent PCU experience, and current BLS/ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
