Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU Telemetry unit on the 6th floor. This 40-bed General Medical PCU handles multisystem cases; telemetry experience preferred but training is available.

This full-time day shift role requires 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with weekends and holidays rotating. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and Banner Health provides benefits to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Telemetry or acute care nursing experience preferred; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care according to policy.
• Formulate and adjust care plans with input from patient/family.
• Directly provide patient care and supervise care delivery by team.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust teaching and plans as needed.
• Document care accurately and timely in patient records.
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practices.
• Interacts with staff and external contacts to ensure safe care.
• Supervise staff as needed and coordinate unit workflow.
• Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care.
