Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-bed General PCU on the Day shift (3 twelve-hour shifts per week). This high-acuity unit provides telemetry monitoring for patients with respiratory and cardiac issues, with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will assess, plan, implement and document nursing care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Experience in acute care or PCU preferred.
• Ability to work 3 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care with input from patient/family and health team.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise others per physician orders and policies.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise care plans as needed.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the patient record.
• Participate in professional practice improvement and mentoring.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients and families to ensure continuity of care.
