Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem hospital opportunities across Hampton Roads, VA. Choose when you work with day and night shifts available and enjoy the flexibility of per diem nursing in leading acute care hospital settings.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license and at least 2 years of PCU experience in the past 4 years, plus vaccination or a qualifying exemption. Daily and weekly pay options are available.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU experience within the past 4 years.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
