Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. You choose when you work, whether occasional shifts or a fuller schedule.

Shifts include day and night options, with competitive per diem pay and daily/weekly pay options. Eligible candidates must hold an active Virginia RN license and have at least 2 years of PCU experience within the last 4 years.

Qualifications

Active Virginia RN License.
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
Additional credentials may be required based on hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
