Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Choose your own schedule with options to work as little as one shift per month or build a fuller schedule; daily/weekly pay and local support are provided.

Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a with competitive per diem pay. Active Virginia RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and recent PCU experience are required to join a locally owned staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• 2 years of PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
