First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments across the Hampton Roads area. You can choose day or night shifts and enjoy daily or weekly pay, with opportunities to build a fuller schedule.

Deliver safe, high-quality care in acute hospital settings while enjoying flexible scheduling and the support of a local staffing team. Per diem roles provide control over your calendar and assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS – American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment specific to PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
