Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. You can pick shifts 7a-7p or 7p-7a and control your schedule while earning competitive per diem pay.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current certification.
• AHA ACLS current certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current (within past 12 months).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.

Active Virginia RN License

2 years PCU nursing experience

AHA BLS Current

AHA ACLS Current

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current

COVID-19 vaccination or exemption
