First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts and pick up only the shifts you want.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital units and environments.
