First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, allowing you to pick days that fit your life while you build a schedule you control.

Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and document care. Join FCN for competitive per diem pay and the freedom to select shifts with no minimum weekly commitment.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current certification.
• AHA ACLS Current certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
