First Choice Nurses is seeking a PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You’ll pick shifts that fit your life, with options including 7a-7p and 7p-7a.

Active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and TB test within 12 months are required. Vaccination or approved exemption may be needed. Competitive per diem pay and easy mobile scheduling support your flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required by facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
