Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses to join our float team on a 13-week, full-time assignment. You will care for a patient group in a hospital setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and managing plans of care with patients and families.

Ideal candidates have an ASN, RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 18–24 months PCU RN experience. Cerner EMR familiarity is preferred. Independent transportation and flexibility are required; travel nurse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• ASN required (Associate degree in nursing).
• 18 months RN experience in an acute PCU setting required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute PCU setting preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• Independent transportation for assignments/shifts required.
• Flexibility.
• Travel Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of patients in a hospital setting using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organize and prioritize plan of care with patients, families, and significant others.
• Identify patients at risk and prepare their room environment; participate as preceptor/charge nurse when assigned.
