Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts. Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick up shifts as it fits your schedule. Per diem pay is competitive, and daily/weekly payment options are available.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required or eligible for Virginia facilities.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current certification required.
• AHA ACLS current certification required.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within last 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and changes.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and reporting.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
