Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, including 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with the option to earn daily or weekly pay. This locally owned staffing company has offered flexible schedules and responsive support for over 15 years.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
