Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads area, including Virginia Beach. You can choose your own schedule, work as little as one shift per month, and receive daily or weekly pay options.

This role requires Virginia RN licensure and 2 years of recent PCU experience, with BLS/ACLS and vaccination requirements. Per diem opportunities offer hospital-based assignments and a responsive local team to support you.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
