First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. You can choose shifts that fit your life, with the option to pick up an occasional shift or build a fuller schedule.

Expect competitive per diem pay, daily or weekly pay options, and easy mobile scheduling. This role requires an active RN license (Virginia) and recent PCU experience, with ACLS/BLS and other facility credentials as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required and current.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
• AHA BLS and ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
