First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Choose your own shifts, with options for daily or weekly pay and flexible scheduling.

Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with opportunities to build a larger schedule or pick up occasional shifts, all while working with a locally owned staffing company with over 15 years in operation.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license is required.
• Active RN license in Virginia.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital units and environments.
