Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Choose shifts that fit your life with flexible scheduling and daily/weekly pay options.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU nursing in the past 4 years are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and health screening. Competitive per diem pay and local staffing support provided.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
