Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and enjoy competitive per diem pay and the freedom to pick up assignments that fit your life.

As FCN PCU RN, you will monitor patients, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with physicians in acute-care hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
