Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule: pick up shifts that fit your life, whether you want occasional extras or a fuller calendar.

As a PCU RN with FCN, you will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
