First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with flexible 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, and enjoy the freedom to pick up as many or as few shifts as you like.

Join FCN to work in acute-care hospital environments, providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, medications, and documentation while collaborating with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments

Skills

2 years PCU nursing experience within

Patient care excellence

Cardiac rhythm monitoring

Education

Virginia RN License
