Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Choose shifts that fit your life, with options for 7a-7p or 7p-7a schedules and daily/weekly pay.
Per diem RNs will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, including monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with care teams. NC license verification and BLS/ACLS are required.
Qualifications
- Virginia RN License and 2 years PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS.
- Current AHA ACLS.
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
