Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You choose shifts that fit your life and enjoy the flexibility to work when it works for you.

You will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, with 7a–7p and 7p–7a shifts available, and options for daily or weekly pay. Join a locally owned staffing team that prides itself on responsive support and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

Education

Virginia RN License

2 years recent PCU nursing experience (past 4 years)

AHA BLS

AHA ACLS

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months

COVID-19 vaccination or exemption
