First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Earn competitive per diem pay with the freedom to choose shifts that fit your life.

Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with daily and weekly pay options. You’ll provide high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, maintaining records and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Current AHA ACLS certification required.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption or medical/religious exemption.

Responsabilités

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.

Connaissances

Active Virginia RN License

2+ years PCU nursing experience

AHA BLS

AHA ACLS

QuantiFERON-TB test

COVID-19 vaccination or exemption
