Job summary

First Choice Nurses is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. You can choose occasional shifts or build a fuller schedule, with day or night options and flexible scheduling.

Must hold an active Virginia RN license, have 2+ years PCU experience in the past 4 years, and maintain BLS/ACLS. Vaccination or approved exemption is required. Per diem roles offer competitive pay across leading hospitals in the region.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and use PCU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Educate patients and families.
