Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads, VA area. You will provide safe, high-quality nursing care on PCU units, monitor patients, and collaborate with physicians and care teams.

Opportunities include day and night shifts with options for daily or weekly pay, enabling a flexible schedule. Candidates must have Virginia RN licensure and 2+ years of PCU experience, with vaccination or approved exemption required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.

Skills
