First Choice Nurses is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with options like 7a-7p and 7p-7a and a pay range of $56.25–$57.25 per hour.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test. COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is also required. Per diem scheduling provides flexibility and weekly/daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
