Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a–7p and 7p–7a. You control when you work, with the option to pick up occasional shifts or build a fuller schedule.

Qualified candidates hold a Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS; QuantiFERON-TB Gold testing within 12 months is preferred. Per diem pay, daily/weekly pay options, and a responsive local staffing team support your schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring patient conditions in acute-care hospital settings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with infection-control standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
