Job summary

AdventHealth Burleson is seeking a PCU RN for ED Hold on a StaffFlex contract, full-time schedule 7a-7p. Requires 2+ years of PCU RN experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, acute hospital setting. Open availability and strong clinical judgment are essential.

Responsibilities include data collection and documentation, care planning, med administration, patient education, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• English fluency required (read, verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Windows-based programs.
• Work experience: 2+ years of nursing in an acute hospital setting (required).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking appropriate to patient level of care.
• Collects and documents patient health data timely.
• Develops and implements evidence-based care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and staff to maintain a positive environment.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
