Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn competitive per diem pay and pick your own schedule, with options to work as little as one shift per month and daily or weekly pay.

PCU RNs must hold a Virginia RN license, have 2 years of recent PCU experience, and maintain current BLS, ACLS, and TB testing. Shifts from 7a-7p or 7p-7a provide flexible options to fit your life.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
