First Choice Nurses is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments throughout the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. Per diem positions offer day and night shifts with flexible scheduling and daily/weekly pay options.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care in acute care settings, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Requires active Virginia RN license, BLS, ACLS, and recent PCU experience.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
