Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford, DE is hiring for a registered nurse on the 5B Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care nights (12-hour shifts).

You will develop individualized care plans, administer medications, document accurately, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize outcomes while upholding safety and professional standards. Requires ADN or Nursing Diploma, RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential(s): Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support. ACLS/PALS may be required per manager’s direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (5B).
• Develops a patient-centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient medical records and documents care.
• Administer medications following the five rights of medication administration.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes as applicable.
• Read and interpret patient information to inform treatment decisions and collaborate with physicians.
• Document timely and accurate care and participate in quality and performance improvement plans.
• Supervise and delegate to unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate.
