Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and you decide when to work to fit your life.

Eligible candidates have a Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU experience, plus current BLS/ACLS; per diem pay and flexible scheduling are offered, with daily/weekly pay options and a responsive local team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license in good standing.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS Current.
• AHA ACLS Current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
