Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking a PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, with flexible scheduling and options for daily or weekly pay.

Per diem opportunities allow you to build a fuller schedule or work occasionally, with shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a available. Licensing requirements include a Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination or exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
