Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Progressive Care Unit. The trainee program provides hands-on clinical experience under RN supervision and prepares you to perform direct patient care according to policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, vital signs, and documentation, while liaising with nurses and upholding patient safety. Requires BLS certification and healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, mobility and vital signs.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.

• Document care accurately and timely in patient records.
• Participate in hand-off/report of patient and department needs.
• Perform delegated tasks under supervision to gain competency.
