Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking an RN Manager for the PCU Cardiac Step-Down Unit to oversee daily unit operations and nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient-centered care.

The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced cardiovascular step-down setting, with emphasis on quality outcomes, policy adherence, and staff accountability. A BSN is required; an MSN is preferred, with current BLS/ACLS and a track record in acute care supervision.

Qualifications

• RN license in the practicing state or Multi-State Compact required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Master’s Degree preferred or enrollment in program with 2-year completion target.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required.
• 3+ years of acute care RN experience in critical care; 1+ year supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily function and staffing of the PCU Cardiac Step-Down Unit.
• Monitor nursing care quality and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Hold staff accountable for clinical outcomes and department objectives.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Manager PCU Cardiac Step-Down ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State which you practice or must hold Compact/Multi-State RN License required
• Bachelor’s Degree required or must be enrolled in program and complete within 2 years; Master’s Degree preferred
• A current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross) are required
• 3+ years of acute care RN experience in critical care required, 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience required
