Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Short Stay/Observation Unit in Naperville, IL. The role is full-time, 36 hours/week with a night shift from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, including rotating holidays and weekends.

Under the direction of an RN, you will perform essential patient care tasks to support comfort and safety. A CNA course completion or six months of patient care experience is required, plus CPR certification. Competitive benefits accompany full-time positions.

Qualifications

• CPR certification current (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Completed an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent.
• Completion of care Companion Course within six months if required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care tasks under supervision of an RN to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Follow established procedures and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Support rotation to night shifts and adapt to unit needs.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
